Lamentations 3: 22-23
In this chapter, Solomon writing about his deep distress.. either judgement or discipline from the Lord, or both. But even in his deep distress, even in his deep torment, even in his deep pain, even right in the middle of some of the worst days of his life….. this man, who was the wisest among the wise praises God for His great love. He understands God’s great mercy. He relishes in God’s great faithfulness. I look at this text and have to ask myself, do I still “see” God, on my worst days? In my worst moments? All of His love, All of His mercy, All of His faithfulness? All at once? Because, friends, he is there. He is there….if you belong to Him, He is there. He desires to wrap His arms around you with His presence of love, mercy, and faithfulness… in the hard times.
Will you sense His presence, when things get tough? Will I?
Father, you are so good to us. We need this reminder today. Help me and my friends today to sense your great presence in our lives. Thank you for Jesus, who takes our sins away.
Verse 22. The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; 23. they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
