Welcome. My prayer is that each of these devotionals is a blessing to you and encourage you in your walk with Jesus or help to lead you to Him.

2 Peter 1 : 16

Peter is stirring up followers of Jesus in our text this morning. Then he writes in v.16 that he and the other apostles and disciples were “eyewitnesses” of His majesty. Why? Because he wanted people to know that this was not just another false Messiah. That Jesus is a real person, who is God in the flesh. And even today, there are some, uninformed, unstudied people, who do not believe that Jesus is real, and that He died on that cross, and was resurrected back to life. Why? Because they are blinded by the enemy and do not want to believe. It is so frustrating and heart wrenching to talk to someone who will not believe. They all believe that Abraham Lincoln was a real person, and a president, because they learned it from history, but will not believe in a person who left more evidence than Abraham Lincoln.. There is evidence of Jesus Christ that can not be refuted even by reason and science. There are eyewitnesses, who give account of Him. There are history books that give account of Him. Even books outside of the Bible. The Bible is a history book by the way. It is truth about the past. It is truth about today. It is truth about the future. There are too many things, written hundreds of years ago, that have come true, for the Bible not to be true! There is too much evidence for me to not believe.

Father, I am heartbroken over those who will not believe. I am asking you today, to open their eyes. Both me and my friends know people who have not believed. Please allow them to see, before it’s too late. You deserve their worship. Thank you for Jesus, who took our sins away…

Verse 16 “For we did not follow cleverly devised myths when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of His majesty.”
