2 Thessalonians 3:3

In chapter 3, Paul was writing about some men, who were being influenced by the evil one, Satan. He called them evil and wicked. They were idle, and busybodies. They did not work. He said to stay away from them. They were troublemakers .He did not mince words here. He said not all have faith.However, he wrote in v.3 “But the Lord is faithful” – “He will guard you against the evil one”…

What’s the lesson here?

There will always be evil men and woman around – They do not have faith.. But Paul here, directs our attention to 2 people…

1) the evil one.

2) the Lord.

Why? Because friend, our battle is not against people. Remember?? The battle is against the evil one.And only the Lord can handle that battle. That’s our text this morning. Read it again. Then read it again.”The Lord is faithful”.” HE will establish you..”” HE will guard you..” Against who? The evil one.

Friend, there is a battle raging today, and the enemy wants us to be angry and react toward the people he uses. Don’t do that… First, look to Christ.. Remember that HE already won that battle for us. We are more than conquerors in Him! Don’t make your fight small.. and petty.. Make sure your battle is fought by the Lord. Someone wrote the Lord will only allow 2 in the fight ring – if you climb in, He will climb out. Seek Him. He wants to give you peace. Do not fight your battles. Give them to the Lord. He is faithful!

Father, we need your help again today. Help me and my friends to trust in you, because you are faithful…
