1 Chronicles 16: 11
In our text today, King David had just brought the ark of God into the tent that he had prepared for it. God’s presence and His glory was restored to where it belonged. There had been great celebration in all Israel, and rightfully so. The priests were offering sacrifices, and all the people were blessed. God’s presence, His glory, was restored.
Did you know, child of God…. That now, because of the blood of Jesus, His sacrifice on that cross, His resurrection, that God’s very presence – His glory – lives within us?! They had to come to the tent of His presence to seek Him… We do not!!! He has come to me, to you… His presence now lives IN you! You and I do not have to go to some tent to seek Him… Jesus has done what no man could do… He has brought us from far to near… He has blessed us with God’s presence continually… His Spirit lives in you! So what now shall we do? How now shall we live? Seek Him. Seek Him continually.
Father, you have given us such a great gift in Jesus. You sent Him to rescue us. You sent Him to die for us. You sent His Spirit to live in us. Now help me and my friends to seek you. Thank you for the blood of Jesus, who took my sins away.
