Ephesians 3: 17-19

Paul, writing to the church, wrote about the love of Christ. There is a teaching here that the love of Christ can only be understood by those who are strengthened by God to have that understanding… What? It’s only through the Holy Spirit of God that we can be saved, and only through the Holy Spirit of God can we understand His great love for us.It seems to me that, for the most part, it is only those who truly “comprehend” His love, who tells others about Christ.

Could it be that this is why most Christians never share their faith? So the question begs to be answered… How can I comprehend His great love? Well, the simple answer is..Know Him. Know Him… Study His Word – the Bible. Seek Him as you study and pray. Serve others in obedience. Spend time in His Church with His people. Hear His Word preached. Then… be filled with all the fullness of God. Then, He will overwhelm you with His love, and He will overflow out of you!

Father, we need you today to help us comprehend your great love. Fill me and my friends with the power to see you more clearly. Help us to desire you more each day. Then, help us to allow your love to flow out of us into others. Thank you for Jesus, who loved us enough to take our sin away…

Verse 17 “so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith–that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18. may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19. and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God”.
