Numbers 6: 24-26
Today, we see an Old Testament blessing that the Lord told Moses to tell Aaron to give the people… This is a desire from the God of Heaven, who wants to bless those that are His. He wants to be gracious, and He wants to give peace. It was after the purification process for a man, who had taken a Nazarite vow… a restoration process. What does this tell us about God? It tells us that He wants to bless obedience and restoration… So when we sin, and we are disobedient, we can trust God to forgive us and bless us, if we will turn, come to Him with repentance, and ask Him to forgive us. And then receive His blessings and walk in full confidence of forgiveness. Do not hang on to sin that God has forgiven. He wants to bless, not condemn…
Father, thank you for your forgiving character. Thank you that we can trust you for forgiveness, totally and final. Help us today. Deliver us from temptation, and keep us from evil. Thank you for Jesus, who takes away our sin.
Verse 24 “The LORD bless you and keep you; 25. the LORD make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; 26. the LORD lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.”
