Welcome. My prayer is that each of these devotionals is a blessing to you and encourage you in your walk with Jesus or help to lead you to Him.

2 Chronicles 7: 14

There is a road map in today’s text, for God’s people. This road map is the way to healing, to restoration, to forgiveness. First we will need to get to the road called humility, where we come before God, just as we are, helpless, sinful people, without a remedy to save ourselves. Then, we turn down the road called prayer, where we come into His presence and speak to the God of the universe, and seek Him in total dependence. Then, take a right on the road named repentance, where we turn from our sin – we forsake it, and turn toward God, who promises His blessing on His people, and their land. I wonder…How long has it been? How long.. since you have come before God, humbly, seeking Him, and acknowledging your sin, repenting from your wicked ways? How long since you have traveled this road? There is a promise of forgiveness and healing down this road. It is one of the clearest promises in scripture. It does not depend on those who don’t know God, but on those who do know Him…. I wonder…. what our land would be, if only God’s people would travel this road more faithful..

Father, we are a stubborn and sinful people, just like the Israelites were. We need you to intervene in our land. Help me and my friends today Lord. Help us to humble ourselves before you. Help us to seek you. Forgive our sins. Lead us to turn away from all that destroys us, and turn toward you. Heal our land. Give us courage and boldness to draw near, and to proclaim your great name near and far. Thank you for Jesus, who took our sin away…

Verse 14 “if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
