Welcome. My prayer is that each of these devotionals is a blessing to you and encourage you in your walk with Jesus or help to lead you to Him.

John 3: 5

In John 3, Jesus was speaking with Nicodemus about being born again. Nicodemus was puzzled about the words “born again”. So are many today. Everyone is born by water, in the flesh. They have no choice in the matter. But being born from above, in the Spirit, is a choice to submit to the true life giving Spirit of Christ as Savior and King. See, we are all born dead in our spirits, in our sin. Yes, we are breathing and walking around, but are dead to Christ’s Spirit, who gives true eternal life. Kinda like sunflower seeds. We can eat a sunflower seed, and that is the end of that seed, but if we take that sunflower seed, and mix it with some dirt and water, that single seed grows into a plant as high as 15 feet tall. Then it produces hundreds more seeds. A purpose much higher than a single seed. Some people reject Christ, and have no purpose in this life, then die and face the wrath of God.

I wonder today, if you have been born again? If you have, are you reproducing, like that sunflower seed? God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. God has a purpose for your life… Never forget that.He loves you. But you must submit to His Spirit… Admit your sin. Ask Him for forgiveness. Trust in Him to fill you with His Spirit – be “born again”. And then, plant yourself in a good bible teaching church, and watch what God will do with you and through you!!

Thank you Father, for the privilege me and my friends have to be a part of your Kingdom. Fill us with your Spirit so we can reproduce. Thank you for Jesus, who took my sins away…

Verse 5 “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.”
