Job 19: 25
Even after all the destruction that came into Job’s life, he still had his eyes on a future time, and a trust in the Lord to rescue him. Everyone else had turned on him. There was nothing to cling to on this earth. He had to be devastated. I wonder what I would do in that situation? Would my eyes be upon the Lord? Would I be able to see past my misery? Would you? Can you now? There is certainly nothing for you and I to cling to on this old earth.. This is not our home. It would do many of us well to repeat that often.. For I know that my Redeemer lives, and at the last, He will stand upon the earth.
Friend, He is coming back soon to rescue us. I want to be ready, don’t you? Don’t let this old earth, and the things of it, suck you in. Look to the One, who died so that you can live. His name is Jesus..
Father, thank you that you are faithful. Help me and my friends today to look toward you. Be with us today, as many will gather across this nation to worship you on this Lord’s day. Thank you for Jesus, who takes our sin away..
Verse 25 “For I know that my Redeemer lives, and at the last he will stand upon the earth.”
