Pastor Carl's Devotional

This chapter begins a new thought from the first part of the book. It looks forward to a time of deliverance, for those who trust in the Lord. It begins the idea of a God, who is mighty to save, mighty to love, and mighty to deliver. He is worthy, and He is also able.. Verses 30-31 is no exception.. He is ABLE to give strength to those who trust in the Lord. Those who spend time with Him. Those who are looking for His coming. Those who delight in His ways. Those who love His church. Those who serve Him now. It looks forward to the deliverance, both in this world, and from this old world. I hope you will be among those. It all depends on what you do with Jesus.

Let me ask…. What are you doing with Him? Do you love Him by loving others? Do you serve Him by serving others? Do you seek Him and influence others? Does anyone know you are a follower? I hope you shout to the world your trust in Christ, and I hope your life shows it.

Father, thank you for your marvelous promises of protection and deliverance. Thank you for the power of your Spirit living in us. Bless me and my friends today, with an increasing desire to seek you. Thank you for sending Jesus to take our sin away.

Verse 30 “Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; 31. but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”
