This text gives us the visible, outward elements of what comes out of a person who is truly saved and full of Christ’s spirit. They are all visible, in the way we treat others, the way we speak about others… Kinda like my coffee. I can visibly see the tint of the creamer in my coffee… I can taste the good creamer in it… Why? Because I put it in my coffee… and it is oh so good!

Let me ask you…. What are you allowing God to put in you? Is His Word penetrating your heart? Are you putting it in? Are you mixing it up? I can promise you one thing – God is faithful. He will put His Spirit in you if you seek Him. So, when others see you…. when others hear you…. does the “oh so good” of Christ’s Spirit come out? Can others see the tint of Christ in your life? Let me encourage you today friend, trust Christ, and His Word, to fill you up.

Father, thank you for your promises to us. Thank you for your Word that we have available to us today. Help me and my friends to allow you to fill us up with your “oh so good” Spirit, so that people can see you in our lives. Help us to be about your business. Thank you for Jesus, who took our sin away.

Verse 22 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23. gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.”
