Peter was preaching his heart out to multitudes of people. He had just been filled with the Spirit of Christ. He was letting Him loose. And his words “cut” men to the heart. Many were saved that day. The truth of who Jesus Christ is, was being preached. His words “Lord and Christ” were revolutionary. How could that be possible?
“Lord” meant that Jesus is God. “Christ” meant that Jesus is Messiah. Both in one person… That is still true today.
I wonder… is He “Lord” in your life? Have you bowed to Him as Lord? Does your life have the marker of obedience? Do people around you know? Has He set you free? You are either a slave to sin or a slave to Christ. The difference is that one is bondage, the other is freedom!! He loves you. Let Him set you free today…
Verse 36 “Let all the house of Israel therefore know for certain that God has made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you crucified.”
